Strategic advice on nutritional products

About EAS

EAS was established to provide an expert and clear approach to solving regulatory issues in food and nutrition policy.

Recognising the needs of both the food sector and government to have access to experts from a range of professions, the Brussels office was created in 1992, today bringing together a group of specialists including:

  • lawyers
  • political scientists
  • food scientists
  • biologists
  • bioengineers
  • nutritionists

With food regulation heavily based on science it is no accident that more than half of EAS’ 18 strong team have scientific backgrounds.

A significant development in EU food legislation and policy came with the creation of the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) in Italy, which plays a crucial role in food and nutrition policy. Recognising this, EAS launched its EAS Italy office in March 2007 to closely monitor EFSA's activities.

Internationally too, changes in food laws and food regulations are impacting the market. Trade with Asia continues to rise, prompting EAS to launch its EAS Asia office in September 2007 in Singapore, which gives expert regulatory advice to both companies and government bodies in the region.

In 2011, EAS expanded its network, opening an EAS Latin America office in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

EAS works with trade associations, companies and government bodies, and has built a strong international reputation for delivering fast and accurate information, expert advice and solutions.
