France permits use of Rebaudioside A sweetener

The French Official Journal published an Order on Monday stating that the sweetener Rebaudioside A can be used in certain foods for a maximum of two years and until the European Union’s list of permitted food additives becomes applicable.
The Order allows the use of the sweetener only in certain foods, including food supplements and slimming foods, and sets specifications.
