EFSA publishes 2nd batch of opinions on Article 13 health claims

EFSA has published its 2nd batch of opinions on the list of ‘general function' health claims, submitted for substantiation by the Member States and the Commission under Article 13 of the Nutrition and Health Claims Regulation, today.
According to EFSA, most of the 416 claims submitted for evaluation have recieved unfavourable opinions due to the ‘poor quality of the information provided’. EAS will provide its full evaluation of the opinions within the coming days.
